Why should my 3 best friends have to part at the age of 16? Why do I keep killing myself to try to save them from their addiction when it always ends up hurting me more than them. Watching my friends suffer over drug addictions is burning a hole in me that hasn’t healed, and now I have to leave them. I pray they survive, pray that they take my guidence so I can lead them into a bright future instead of the dark path they are leading. Dear God,
I am 37 years old today. I have been fighting all my life just to be me. Today I am in terrible pain. My body doesn’t want to carry me anymore. I feel strange talking to you because you always seemed so far away from me all these years. All these years I have been so unlucky, so miserable and so alone in the darkness. I am told to turn back to you now. To look for the light. All I want is to be able to function again. Walk, run, drive, travel. I never realized how happy I was just with the simple things in life. Be able to stand up in the morning, go to the pool, have sex with beautiful women, work, earn my life. I want my life back. This is my prayer.
